Eight FM (formerly One FM and 8FM) is a Malaysian Chinese-language radio station. Initially starting with broadcasts in the Klang Valley, it is now broadcast nationwide. Eight FM is owned by Media Prima Berhad.

History

Eight FM began broadcasting in 2006 as the women's radio station called "Wanita FM", which was acquired by Media Prima in 2009. The station was eventually renamed to One FM and change its broadcasting format into Chinese-language radio station.

Beginning 4 May 2021, this radio station was simulcast on 8TV daily from 1:30 am to 7:00 am

On August 2, 2021, in order to strengthen the relationship between this station and 8TV with in the group, One FM was formally reorganized into 8FM which based on the 8TV branding. On the evening of the same day, 8TV Mandarin News will be broadcast simultaneously by 8TV and 8FM. At this point, Media Prima two major Chinese media departments (8TV and 8FM) have fully realized cross-platform resource interoperability and the 8FM logo so television stations are used in the 8TV logo until August 31, 2023.

On March 28, 2022 to September 22, 2023, 8FM will no longer broadcast temporarily through the MYTV platform.

On 25 September 2022, 8FM was ceased broadcast in Kuantan, Pahang 100.4MHz (likely migrating frequency) due to low rating in Kuantan and it was replaced by Molek FM on 2 October 2022. Listeners have to tune to 8FM via Audio+ app, 8FM YouTube LIVE streaming, 8FM web streaming or FM 88.1MHz from Gunung Ulu Kali. Although 8FM Kuantan frequency 100.4MHz is replaced by Molek FM, but 8FM can be tuned on 88.1MHz in part of Kuantan with weaker signal.

On 1 August 2023, 8FM is now known as English Eight FM and the slogan in Mandarin "每次突破0.1" is English "Breakthrough 0.1" as 8FM formally reorganized into the current Eight FM.
