Description
English: Players of CA Peñarol and FC Barcelona entering the pitch of Camp de Les Corts in Barcelona for an exhibition game. The match was part of an extensive tour through Europe by the Uruguayan team. Walking with a cane and being supported by players of both teams is Barcelona’s Esteban Pedrol, who performed the kick-off. Two month earlier, he broke his fibular and tibia during a match against Valencia CF.
Deutsch: Einlauf der Spieler vom CA Peñarol und FC Barcelona am 5. Juni 1927 zu einem Freundschaftsspiel im Camp de Les Corts in Barcelona. Das Spiel war Teil einer ausgedehnten Europa-Tournee des uruguayischen Teams. An einem Stock gehend und von Athleten beider Teams gestützt geht der Barcelonese Esteban Pedrol, der den Anstoß ausführte. Er hatte sich zwei Monate zuvor in einem Spiel gegen den Valencia CF das Schien- und das Wadenbein gebrochen.
