עברית: בית שערים הוא אתר ארכאולוגי השוכן בגליל התחתון. במקום התקיים יישוב יהודי חשוב בתקופת בית שני,

המשנה והתלמוד. באתר התגלו מערות קבורה רבות ששימשו את תושבי המקום ויהודים מהתפוצות שבאו להיקבר ליד קברו של רבי יהודה הנשיא

מערת הסרקופגים (מערת הארונות) - מספרה 20. המערה היא מערכת קברים גדולה, המפוארת ביותר שנמצאה בבית שערים והיא כוללת הסתעפויות רבות וחדרי קבורה רבים. אורכה ורוחבה הוא 75 מטר. בכל האולמות יחדיו נמצאו 125 סרקופגים מתוכם 35 מעוטרים. הסרקופגים עשויים אבן גיר ומשקלם נע בין 4–5 טון. הסרקופגים המעוטרים כללו עיטורים של בעלי חיים כגון אריות, עיטים, ציפורים, ראשי פרים ועוד, נמצאו גם עיטורים של אלים מהמיתולוגיה היוונית כגון ניקה אלת הניצחון. במערה פנימית נמצאה מנורה חצובה בקיר המערה בגובה 1.9 מטר.
