Deutsch: Das Wohnhaus Sigmund Freuds an der Adresse Berggasse 19 im 9. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Alsergrund.
Das Wohnhaus wurde 1889 nach Plänen des Architekten Hermann Stierlin im Stil der italienischen Renaissance errichtet. Von 1891 bis 1939 wohnte Freud mit seiner Familie in der Wohnung Top 5 im Mezzanin. Die Praxis von ihm war bis 1908 im Hochparterre untergebracht, danach ebenfalls im Mezzanin (Top 6): [1]. Nach der Gründung der Sigmund-Freud-Gesellschaft im Jahr 1968 wurde die ehemalige Ordination mit Hilfe der Bundesregierung und der Stadt Wien erworben und nach einer Restaurierung am 15. Juni 1971 in Anwesenheit von Anna Freud und des österr. Bundeskanzler Bruno Kreisky als Museum eröffnet. In weiterer Folge wurde das Museum sukzessiv erweitert, indem unter anderem in den 1980er Jahren die ehemalige Privatwohnung Freuds miteinbezogen und 1992 die Anna-Freud-Gedenkräume (frühere Ordinationsräume von Anna Freud) eingerichtet wurden. Träger des rund 550 m² großen Museums ist die 2003 gegründete Sigmund Freud Privatstiftung, die 2006 das gesamte Haus Berggasse 19 erwarb: [2]. English: Sigmund Freud's house in Vienna. |
