Random facts[edit]

In 2014, Gurtam arranged Kilimanjaro expedition to test hardware and proprietary tracking system in extreme conditions.[8] The expedition was repeated in 2023 in Indonesia when the Gurtam team and key telematics service providers among the Wialon partner community climbed the Rinjani volcano.

Gurtam established annual rankings to encourage development and growth within the community. The Wialon Top Partners rankings feature the telematics providers who connected the biggest number of units to the Wialon system over the last 12 months. Another ranking established by Gurtam is GPS Hardware Manufacturers Top 10, which features the most popular manufacturers of telematics and IoT devices across the world. Every year, it includes only ten companies whose products were connected to Wialon most frequently over the previous 12 months.

Since July 2021 Gurtam has joined the IoT M2M Council (IMC) as a Sustaining Member company.[9]
