Ramshir (Persian: رامشير), also Romanized as Rāmshīr; formerly known as Ram Shihr, Khalaf Abad, and Khalafābād,^[3] is a city in the Central District of Ramshir County, Khuzestan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and district.^[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 24,782 in 4,604 households.^[5] The following census in 2011 counted 23,008 people in 5,163 households.^[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 25,009 people in 6,536 households.^[2]
