How many articles on Israeli cities have been written by the Israbot? (check the history to see the first author of this article to see what I mean) Doesn't this violate the spirit of Wikipedia? Robots automatically generating articles using tables from the Israeli central Burear of Statistics explain why this article lacked anything but the dryest statistical information and also failed to mention anything about the Hafrada Wall that runs right through Baqa West, separating it from its sister city Baqa East. I've corrected that discrepancy for now but how is this sort of authorship process even allowed? Tiamut 13:38, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The reference says "on the Green Line", and the map doesn't seem to disagree, but is rather differentiating between colours, as it shows all the places where it is on the Green Line in the same way (ie Tulkarm). TewfikTalk 18:45, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal[edit]

Since it is now Baqa-Jatt, I propose merging this article into Baqa-Jatt.--RM (Be my friend) 23:43, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

removed dubious text[edit]

I removed "Only at this point [1949] the names "Baqa ash-Sharqiyya" (Eastern Baqa) and "Baqa al Gharbiyye" (Western Baqa) were born." The reason is that Baqa al Gharbiya and Baka ash Sharqiya are listed separately in the 1931 census so this cannot be correct. In fact they are shown separately (about 2km apart) even in the PEF map of the 1880s. Zerotalk 08:20, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please cancel my edit[edit]

I have edited that article, adding about a terror attack that led to an outcry against Baqa al-Gharbiyye, and only after the edit I saw that this article can be edited only by users that have +500 edits. I have no idea why I had an option to edit because I have only ~100 edits. I cannot edit no longer so I ask to remove my contribution to this topic. IdanST (talk) 10:54, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Pages with editing restrictions don't necessary have technical protection. The restrictions still apply regardless of whether there is technical protection in place. Zerotalk 11:37, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
