What's important, and what's not[edit]

I cannot find any biographical data on Liebesking. Instead, in the first paragraph I find a sentence on WTC in New York, one of many buldings he has build (or will). LMB 11:56, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Libeskind gw.jpg[edit]

Image:Libeskind gw.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Q: Does anybody know what Daniel Libeskind's quote was..... something about the memorial should be completed before commercial development begins? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.164.4.114 (talk) 15:24, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Daniel Libeskind could not have performed on Polish television in 1953 for the simple reason that it was not launched until 1956 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.174.121.27 (talk) 17:56, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What, no criticism?[edit]

The Wikipedia entry for Frank Gehry contains a prominent section called Criticism, befitting a major architect. Libeskind has no such section. No architect is universally admired and a section citing the most common criticisms would offer a welcome balance to this Wikipedia entry.

His Denver Art Museum annexe, for example, is presented to the public in carefully-framed, flattering photographs as a dynamic, stimulating, geometric outburst but which looks from the unselected street view like a brutal, hulking mass, especially from the brooding west aspect, which is never photographed (with good reason). The annexe building is surprisingly hostile.

Also, the roof has been undergoing almost constant cycles of repair work to stop water leaking into the atrium since the building's completion three years ago, in 2006, with many sheets of titanium removed to expose the unedifying underskin for lengthy, continuing maintenance, presumably at a very interesting, unanticipated, and unadvertised price, and which detracts further from the building's disappointing appearance and the so-called artist's reputation. Surely an expensive, quality manufacturer such as Libeskind could be expected to produce a lasting and durable object which would not require return visits to the store?

It would be useful to see a balanced presentation of Libeskind in this Wikipedia entry. 174.16.27.125 (talk) 11:40, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Seconded. I came to this site out of curiousity after seeing a certain amount of consensus about him being one of the worst architects alive. I was rather suprised to see a whole article that consists almost exclusively of merits and praise... Either written by Libeskind himself, or a very fond fan of him. 213.80.99.132 (talk) 10:46, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
See WP:CRITICISM. Criticism sections are generally discouraged as they attract a disproportionate amount of negative edits and content. freshacconci talk to me 13:18, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Daniel Libeskind's nationality?[edit]

Below his picture, it is said that his nationality is both American and Polish; in the “personal life” part, the sentence before the last one, it is said he is both a U.S. and Israeli citizen.

So what is his nationality? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Helena yang2003 (talkcontribs) 07:14, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
