For: "It is possible that the returnees, supported by the Persian monarchy, became large landholders at the expense of the people who had remained to work the land in Palestine, whose opposition to the Second Temple would have reflected a fear that exclusion from the cult would deprive them of land rights"

Change "Palestine" to "Judah," if that is the region in question, as the name "Palestine" came into use in 132 CE following the Bar Kokhba revolt. Dgoldman0 (talk) 00:47, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Levant?[edit]

There is an undefined, unreferenced term in the lede: "Southern Levant".

Seems like that should be either defined in the text, or linked to a definition somewhere. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.95.43.253 (talk) 00:28, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Repeated Sentence[edit]

In the section titled State of Israel, the sentence "Following independence, the Haganah became the Israel Defense Forces (IDF)." occurs three paragraphs after a sentence with nearly identical structure and references. 173.21.222.142 (talk) 21:35, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
