City of Ruach HaKodesh[edit]

There is an ancient Church tradition which ties Jerusalem to the city of Ruach HaKodesh / Holy Spirit. In part, this is because there are legends about the foundations of Jerusalem and the role of Holy Spirit in the book of Genesis. It would be interesting if we could examine the ancient founders of Jerusalem and look at how early Christians went from a literal Jerusalem to an ecclesiastical Jerusalem. Lead[edit]

What's going on in this article? According to WP:Lead: "The lead serves as an introduction to the article and a summary of its most important aspects.....The lead should be able to stand alone as a concise overview. It should define the topic, establish context, explain why the topic is notable, and summarize the most important points—including any prominent controversies."

All I'm seeing is a bunch of quotes thrown together. Dlv999 (talk) 12:26, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Clover leaf map[edit]

Isn't it a bit bizarre to illustrate Jerusalem in Judaism with a Christian map? If you don't think it is Christian, zoom in on the center and note the three crosses. This is symbolism straight from the New Testament. Zerotalk 05:07, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The map illustrates the Jerusalem infobox, not just this specific article. 67.161.254.8 (talk) 00:17, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Really?[edit]

"New research from Tel Aviv University (Avraham Tal and Moshe Florentin) suggests that the Samaritans believed in the sanctity of Mount Gerizim, not Jerusalem"

No kidding? That's like someone claiming credit for inventing the wheel. 67.161.254.8 (talk) 00:17, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Abraham named the place “Yirah” or Yiru (Jeru), meaning awe.[edit]

... for which the evidence is exactly zero. But that's what happens when you base a whole section on a book by a Kabbalist. Really folks, this article is quite appalling. Zerotalk 03:26, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
