Ladino says that Kol emits in Ladino. --Error 05:07, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As well as Amharic, Mograbhi, and other languages, mainly through "REQA", as least according to the WRTH. --64.222.60.174 13:41, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A few updates: English and other foreign languages news haven't been on Reshet Alef in a few years. They are on REKA.

Reshet Hey is Israel Radio International as opposed to REKA. Sometimes there seems to be confusion as to whether Reshet Hey is synonymous with IRI programming, or shortwave. REKA is domestic, IRI/Reshet Hey is meant for international audiences.

Anyhow, due to budget cuts, as of July 29, 2007, all that is left of Israel Radio International programming, is 1.5 hours of Persian. The rest of the shortwave schedule contains selected relays of the domestic REKA network. As a result, amongst other things, there is no more 10 PM Israel Time English broadcast. The other three English broadcasts continue on REKA and relayed via shortwave and via webcast.

Fair use rationale for Image:IBA Kol Israel logo.jpg[edit]

Image:IBA Kol Israel logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Voice of Israel redirect[edit]

Shouldn't Voice of Israel redirect to this page rather than to Israel Radio International? I don't know enough on the subject to be confident enough to do it myself, but it strikes me as more apt. Let me know. Phileas (talk) 21:54, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

==[edit]

When I type in Israel Radio, it goes to the IBA's website (yes, Israel Radio is a part of the Israel Broadcasting Authority, but it isn't THE IBA). I would've expected the Kol Yisrael site. Kol Israel, goes to the Kol Yisrael website, appropriately.

Then Israel Radio International is yet a third pages, which is already covered in the other two pages. As of July, IRI is only a relay of the domestic REKA network, besides I think it was 1.5 hrs of Persian instead of Russian.

There is alot of duplication of information between the three pages.
