Please discuss[edit]

Please discuss this, and reach a consensus. I think that the status quo will stick until there are citations in the general press that show that this new usage has become general. I have read nothing in the general press (which would sadly include only EU and NA press, for me, as I read only 2 languages well) that indicates this is becoming general usage. Please leave the existing usage in place, and make a case for this change here... and remember, please, no Original Research. sinneed (talk) 22:10, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see the redirect was killed... but still see no sources, no discussion.[edit]

Is there a discussion of this forking of content somewhere?

If the terminology for "Middle East" is changing to "West Asia", then shouldn't that article move here?

If it is only "Southwest Asia" that is being changed to "West Asia", shouldn't that article be moved here?

This all seems to be a triple-fork of the Middle East article.sinneed (talk) 00:23, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The funny thing is...[edit]

Europe is West Asia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.193.39.5 (talk) 15:29, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
