ECMWF, WMO[edit]

Propose: expanding this template to include trans-national organisations (ECMWF, WMO etc.). Feline Hymnic (talk) 20:23, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Have added a 'below' element for this. It should suffice for the present. Feline Hymnic (talk) 22:05, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Flag icons[edit]

I oppose the removal of the flag icons, and as I state in a slightly similar situation here I don't see that they hinder, and actually believe that they help, readability where multiple countries are involved. Could we get them reinserted into the template? Ks0stm (TCG) 17:11, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The request seems reasonable. Perhaps we ought to pursue whether we are in favour of flag icons. I'll start:
  • Moderately in favour: Generally I oppose flags being inserted all over the place in articles and general tables. But in this case, they are a quick and easy visual indicator, directly relevant to locating a particular country or nation in big blocks of text which are specifically about just such countries and nations. Abbreviations[edit]

Would anyone object to me changing the full organisation names to their respective abbreviations in this template? It just seems extremely cluttered this way. -- 17:52, 12 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What about just the country names? Like this. Would make it much easier to read and navigate.
