Removed City-owned Parks from Campus Description[edit]

I removed two New York City parks from the Campus listing. Neither Union Square or Washington Square Park have any link to NYU, other than proximity.

The NYU Washington Square Campus uses that name because it is located on the square, i.e. it occupies buildings which front on the streets which define the square. But NYU doesn't own the streets or the park. The same goes for Union Square.

Claiming these two parks would be like NYU listing the Whole Foods store on 14th street as part of the campus. Yes, NYU owns buildings located very near to Whole Foods. But Whole Foods, like the public parks, is not part of NYU.

GSAS[edit]

The correct term is Graduate School of Arts and Science, abbreviated GSAS. I will make the change in the template. Ams627 06:18, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Courant Institute[edit]

Are you sure that it shouldn't be listed with graduate schools? Besselfunctions 10:11, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
