It's assumed that the huge majority of Turkish photographers have carried out some photography in Turkey, so this category simply subsumes Turkish photographers as a subcategory; Turkish photographers are not additionally listed individually below.

As for non-Turkish photographers, they are listed if they have done a substantial amount of work in Turkey (at a minimum, one book devoted to Turkey) or if their work in Turkey was of unusual historical or other significance. Non-Turkish photographers who have merely made short visits to Turkey and had miscellaneous photographs published should not be specified below.
