Stan Zurkiewicz (born 9 August 1979) is a Polish business executive. He is the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Management at DEKRA e.V. as well as DEKRA SE.[1]
Personal life[edit]
Zurkiewicz studied at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, where he received a Master of Arts in Management in 2002. In 2011, he graduated from the China Europe International Business School (CBEIS) in China and obtained an Executive Master of Business Administration.[2] The native Pole speaks Polish, English, Mandarin and German.[3][4]
Professional Career[edit]
Before working at DEKRA Zurkiewicz joined ABB. He worked there as Manager for Business Development. He left ABB for Kema Quality, a subsidiary of Kema. At Kema Quality, Stan Zurkiewicz started working as General Manager.[2] Following the acquisition of Kema Quality by DEKRA in 2009, Zurkiewicz first worked for DEKRA as General Manager China. Later, he worked in several management positions within the group in the Asian business region. Since 2016, he has been in charge of the East & South Asian branch of DEKRA. In 2021, Zurkiewicz became a Member of the Management Board of DEKRA SE and Chief Operating Officer (COO), responsible for DEKRA's global regions, operations and sales.[5] Since April 2022, Zurkiewicz has been CEO and Chairman of the Board of Management at DEKRA e.V. and DEKRA SE.[1][6]
Other activities[edit]
Stan Zurkiewicz holds a black belt in judo and taekwondo.[7][8] He also takes part in ultramarathons with distances of over 100 kilometers[7]. For example he completed the ultramarathon across the Gobi Desert.[8]
