There is a clear example of bias and pov-warring in this article. One third is given over to the opinion of some Phd dissertation. And such weasel-wording: for example "Hitler and Crane found that they shared a hatred of the British and the French as well as of the Jews ... Crane, at this time, despite his hatred of the Bolsheviks". Quite a lot of uncited "hate" going on there - but I suggest all of it is from the writer of the words. "Crane's last letter about world affairs before he died was to Hitler" - talk about unjustified extrapolation! -We'd all better watch out our last letter isn't a weekly shopping list full of vegetables, otherwise we might be accused of being vegetable-obsessed vegans!
I'm going to remove the entire offending section since it seems to me to be too far gone to be salvaged. It contains a big quantity of marginal non-academic viewpoints expressed in an unencyclopedic way. The viewpoint that a mere objection to a post-WW1 founding of a Jewish state is a display of "anti-semitisim" is a quite outrageous one. The King-Crane article gives a proper account of the credible reasons the commssion objected to the establishement of a Jewish state, and "anti-semitism" is not mentioned. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.97.143.19 (talk) 11:52, 26 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Should also add that the editors who edited in this material should have been flagged for attention. They seem to have been acting in association with an external pressure group. The CAMERA article link to above contains even more outrageous language, and one that is calling on persons to come to this article and edit it in a pov way. That article is dated June 2010. Before that time, this wikipedia article was quiet and had received little editing attention so that article's claim that "anti-Israel partisans" had been removing content is completely false - the only "partisans" were those who arrived as a result of the article's invitation to pov-war. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.97.143.19 (talk) 12:02, 26 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Certainly by today's standards he was indeed anti-Semitic, so too was Dodd and many others of that era, even Truman was antiSemitic, you don't see their Wikipedia pages covered with allegations of antiSemitism; it is hard to avoid the impression that the reason here is because of his Arabist allegiance and in his naming to the King Crane Commission, the conclusions of which are considered as heresy in certain quarters.I have attempted to add a bit of balance to the article in this respect.Selfstudier (talk) 16:57, 16 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Charles Foster Kane?[edit]

I came by this article out of curiousity to know if there might be a connection between Charles Richard Crane and the name used for the Charles Foster Kane character in Citizen Kane.
