The plaque in Stourbridge states that he has as of October 1999 [1] Average Earthman 08:09, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why no diplomatic immunity[edit]

It would be interesting to know why he did not have diplomatic immunity despite working at the British Embassy in Berlin. Norvo (talk) 23:26, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Only accredited diplomats and their families have diplomatic immunity. 'Passport Control Officers' - at the time a cover name for MI6 operatives - came under the normal rules for embassy staff, i.e., no different from other non-diplomatic personnel.
IIRC, the only people with Diplomatic Immunity were the above mentioned, and Queen's/King's Messengers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.148.220.131 (talk) 11:00, 5 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
