More on the link spamming and commercial advertising. Example http://hardyboys.bobfinnan.com/hbpb.htm is just a list of titles that all have links to Amazon. All of the books summaries were copied from Amazon. Every HB Digest title, Casefiles title, Clues Brothers title, Supermysteries title, Ultra Thriller title and so on has a link to Amazon and all summaries were copied from Amazon. Does that tell anyone something?

Yep, tells us you're lying! Here's a link to Amazon's Ultra Thriller page (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0671756613/ref=nosim) and not a summary to be seen. Ditto for everything else. OH! You only plagiarized SOME of the summaries?

Number of pages of the original 1927 version[edit]

The copy I have has 212 pages compared to 192 pages reported. I do not think my copy is a first edition, but normally the Hardy Boys books had a page with the current books available. Mine does not. And does not show any pages torn out. Therefore, I believe it is an earlier version. Since the books were reprinted often (especially the first 3 titles), the copper plates showed wear and tear on the text. My version is clear and tight with only a few smudged headers. As the newer versions were printed, the right and left edges of the text became more intelligible. The centers of the periods became hollowed out. My copy does not show these traits. Physically it has tan boards with a dark brown imprint. I do not have a dust jacket. This is an indicator that it is an earlier edition. So, I stand by the fact that there were 212 pages in the original book. To follow up with an expert, on page 211, the copy refers to the next volume in the series. As quoted: "What some of these happenings were will be related in the next volume, called, ‘The Hardy Boys: The Missing Chums.’ " Hopefully that will be a clue to the actual print date. ---- scottacombs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Scottacombs (talk • contribs) 02:42, 12 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I would agree with 212 pages. I have checked my copy as well as consulted Hardy & Hardy Investigations by Tony Carpentieri. Both confirm 212 pages for the original text. VA6DK (talk) 20:56, 12 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
