Welcome!

Hello, Huss4in, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  -- Longhair | Talk 04:00, 16 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Golem[edit]

On golem you inserted an image without indicating what it referred to. You are free to reinsert it with the appropriate caption. JFW | T@lk 14:05, 16 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I also deleted Image:MM35 PG135.JPG, as the PNG you uploaded is identical and PNG is the favoured format on Wikipedia. JFW | T@lk 14:06, 16 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 16:54, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You inserted a misleading template into this page. I rolled that back, since I'm not sure whey you did that, if you want to insert something like that into this article, please discuss on the talk page. All suggestions and help are welcome, thanks! --Nuujinn (talk) 13:34, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Help[edit]

Alaikum as Salam Huss4in, I made some minor edits to the article and changed its name so it matches the guidelines of Arabic transliteration on Wikipedia. (See MoS Arabic). Also, in order to meet Wikipedia's standards you must provide reliable sources to support the information in the article especially for statements like "generally regarded as the most influential textbook of its type in the Arab and Muslim worlds and is arguably as important as, if not more than, the Picatrix in both hemispheres." (See WP:References) Currently, the main two passages are largely without reliable references and the external link provided is a blog. Just so you know, you may use Arabic language sources if you can't find much information in English sources. If you need any help or clarifications let me know. --Al Ameer son (talk) 19:16, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Asif bin Barkhiya, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Miniature (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Explain why you're reverting when you revert.[edit]

Reverting a good-faith edit without explanation is generally a sign of edit warring and not collaborative. You can use edit summaries for this, or the article's talk page, but don't just revert without explanation except in cases of obvious vandalism. Ian.thomson (talk) 02:15, 12 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not create hoaxes on Wikipedia, as you did at Template:User elc. Doing so is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read!
